What’s the job?
o Be a part of the mechanical design team that is developing the next generation of CO2 capture multidisciplinary technology involving fluid flow, electrochemistry, control and process development.
o Perform advanced mechanical design and simulations, including fluid flow, mechanical stress, and electric conductivity analysis of materials and components.
o Be responsible for devising prototype concepts and take them to mass production.
o Collaborate with extremely diverse team – researchers, process engineers, chemists, technicians and lab assistants, across R&D, system engineering, and operations.
o Operate effectively in a fast-paced, agile startup environment with rapidly evolving goals

o Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field (M.Sc.- an advantage).
o Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in mechanical design and development.

Our technology is designed for gigaton-scale impact, positioning RepAir at the forefront of the shift toward a carbon-negative future. Delivering a highly efficient, sustainable carbon removal solution, our fully electric process requires minimal energy, operates without solvents, and produces no hazardous waste. As a fast-growing company, we are seeking a skilled System Technician – Control to support the development and scale-up of our CO2 separation systems.
What’s the job?
As a System Technician – Control, you will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and delivering control and system solutions for our electrochemical CO₂ capture technology. You will work closely with the R&D team to bring new systems and capabilities, improve performance, set standards for CO2 capture process. This role requires a hands-on approach, working in a fast-paced environment to troubleshoot and solve issues while collaborating with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, process and assembly engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities:
o Support future system design – from requirements to commissioning
o Own and maintain current control systems, including but not limited to PLCs, sensors, power supply etc. In this role, You will work with Assembly R&D team and researchers to allow smooth experiment execution.
o Part of field commissioning team - local and abroad
o Design and execute automation and validation sequences
o Work closely with technicians and researchers to document best practices, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and process improvements.
o Work with vendors to promote new control features/projects etc.
Requirements:
o Practical engineer in electrical/mechanical or another relevant field with 3 years experience
Or
o 5 years of relevant professional experience
o Certified electrician – an advantage
o Experienced in reading electrical drawings, control documents and specs
o Hands On experience - in wiring, sensors, soldering
o Process experience – understanding P&IDs, SOOs etc.
o Experienced in working with vendors
o Startup experience – strong advantage
o Experience with SIEMENS PLCs – an advantage
Skills & Competencies:
o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach to troubleshooting.
o Ability to work in a structured and methodical way, ensure tasks stay on track with the defined methodology, and proactively raise flags when issues or deviations arise.
o Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and present technical findings.
o Self-driven and motivated.
